North Wales Wedding Photographer

A GREAT BENEFIT of being a North Wales wedding photographer is I’m able to spend much of my time working at beautiful venues and locations. It’s a magical combination. I get to photograph incredible couples in their chosen location on one of their happiest days of their life. Nothing makes me happier or gets my creative juices flowing than knowing I’m heading out to a stunning North Wales wedding venue. I’ve been incredibly lucky over the past years to have photographed weddings all over North Wales, not least in Snowdonia and Anglesey.

Snowdonia & the Isle of Anglesey

Snowdonia is the absolute jewel in the crown of Wales for me. It boasts over 800 square miles of mountains and coast areas. Snowdonia National Park is also home to an extensive network of trails, over 100 lakes and craggy peaks such as Cader Idris and Tryfan. The park’s historic Snowdon Mountain Railway climbs to the summit of Wales’s highest mountain, Mount Snowdon. On a clear day it is possible to see Ireland and of course the magnificent Isle of Anglesey. I often visit Snowdonia both for pleasure and as a North Wales wedding photographer. One of my favourite locations to visit in Snowdonia is Capel Curig.

Capel Curig

My favourite time of year to visit Capel Curig is either November or February. November brings incredible autumn and colours from the many deciduous trees set amongst the evergreen pine woods. In February we see gorgeous tones of brown almost everywhere you look. If you are visiting Capel Curig I can totally recommend the Bryn Tyrch Inn. Bryn Tyrch is famed for local sourced amazing food, log fire and warm hospitality. From here you have dramtic views of Tryfan’s formidable and famous rocky ridges.

Incredible North Wales wedding venues

There are some bloody incredible North Wales wedding venues. Mostly people do not know they even exist. Unless you are a couple searching for wedding venues in North Wales or work within the wedding industry you seldom stumble across these magnificent wedding venues. To name a handful, Hafod Farm, River Catcher, Caer Rhun Hall, Lake Vyrnwy Hotel. Not forgetting the wonderful Nant Gwrtheyrn, Trevor Hall and Pimhill Barns. As a wedding photographer in North Wales it’s incredibly exciting being present at these venues on a wedding day.
