Spring Blossom – no green!

I was kind of getting used to all those winter shapes and textures we’ve had for the last 6 months (or so it seems) so I’m almost disappointed to see them all being quickly hidden by green shoots everywhere I look.

Spring blossom is blooming at an incredible pace now with the last week of warm weather in the UK but so is the green, however the Prunus spinosa or Sloe Blackthorn are only showing their beautiful creamy white blossom with not so much of the green leaf.

Maybe I should go live in Iceland?

Autumn sun
